Plant Operation Supervisor (Mining).
Contract (renewable) Fly-in-fly-out position in the mining sector in a remote and safe area of the Democratic Rep of the Congo.
Single status position (not favourable for wives and families to reside there) with a six day working week. Reports to the General Manager Concentrator Plant.
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Metallurgical Engineer with minimum 7 years experience in Concentrator plant and operational control
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Team worker for making coordination with maintenance and technical areas
• Full understanding of plant circuits flow sheet for balancing metallurgical process.
• Ability of communication in all different levels of management, with ability for leading the team and working under pressure from operational aspects. Be pro active and anticipate operational problems that could affect operation
• Open for technical discussion and implementation of new opportunities to improve processing
• In line with companies policy mainly related to environmental and safety aspects
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Leadership and ability to train national staff
• Management of OPEX, CAPEX and budget preparation
• Technical knowledge for implementing new processing circuits
• Safety oriented, with care in housekeeping and workers organization
• English and/or French speaker
REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS:
• Annual salary up to US$145,000 (tax free plus benefits), depending on skills and experience
