Company description:
YBS was founded in 2001 by British nurses who, whilst running a well-baby clinic for English-speaking new mothers, realised that the local children were suffering from malnutrition and and associated diseases, which often led to chronic health problems and stunted development. The Yayasan provides a bundle of interventions known to help communities to lift themselves out of extreme poverty: a feeding programme; health, hygiene and nutrition education for mothers; medical services; pre-school education; skills training and microcredit, and training of trainers - local community health workers - to spread the word. Our employees are nationals, with expatriates volunteering their time and expertise; thus our overheads are very low.
