Company description:
Yayasan Inovasi Teknologi (YIT, or the Foundation for Technology Innovation), is a not-for-profit Indonesian foundation established on January 17, 2008. With a mission to improve the livelihoods of Indonesian citizens through technology development, YIT grew out of the Indonesia Recognition and Mentoring Program (RAMP) established in May 2006. YIT’s programs address three development sectors, as follows:
a. Technology
Support the development and dissemination of innovative technologies that can provide social benefits and affordable solutions to the problems faced by poor communities.
b. Education
Support educational activities focusing on technopreneurship (technology entrepreneurship) for dissemination in poor communities.
c. Society
Empower communities to develop and disseminate technologies that can contribute to the alleviation of poverty and economic development.
